Hello and I hope you are having a happy Sunday. Can you believe Christmas is just over a week away! This week I have some fun ideas that go with this week's Come Follow Me lesson. All of these ideas came from or were inspired by activities in the primary manual. These are perfect for families or primary classes.
First we are going to illustrate our own Christmas book. This goes right along with the video linked in the primary manual. Your kids can follow along with the video or as you read the verses. They can then draw the different scenes to create their very own special book. Print full size or 2 to a page if you would like it smaller.
“Christmas is not only a celebration of how Jesus came into the world but also of knowing who He is—our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ—and of why He came” -Craig C. Christensen. I loved the suggestion to discuss why Jesus came to earth and some of the things he did while he was here. Hang the poster on the wall then add or show different acts of the Savior while he was on earth. There is also a journal page to write or draw some of these things. For the older kids I included a word search with some of the names of Christ. I also included this free printable.
Another idea is to sing your favorite Christmas songs. I created some cute cards that can be placed in a bowl for the kids to pick a song. All are from the primary song book.
I have some additional resources from previous lessons

and Here There are some fun games like find the star and my gift to Christ activities.
Videos are always a great option. Here are a few of my favorites:
Special Witnesses of Christ – Elder Ulisses Soares
We always watch this adorable movie from Liken. They had a few of their movies free on amazon prime but unfortunately this one isn't. This is one of my kids favorite Christmas movies! I love that in includes the story of Elisabeth and Zacharias as well. That's all for this week. If you have any questions or trouble with the download please let me know. Thanks for stopping by!
