I love to do theme days with my kids and my kids love them as well. I often pick a theme based on a current interest, a theme we are doing in preschool, or a movie. Our Scooby Doo theme was a big hit. Here are some of things we did
The girls played their Scooby Doo Wii game a lot.
Glove Monsters! You can't have a mystery to solve with out a monster. (idea and tutorial found here)
With extra felt I cut out some shapes for our felt board.
We made Groovy Flower and Scooby Snack sugar cookies.
Built The Mystery Machine (found here)
Photo Booth! Sadly the site we used is no longer available. There are some cute ones on etsy or I found this one. It has a few free props or you can get a ton for a small fee. OR You can make these cute free masks
We finished the day by watching some of our favorite Scooby Doo movies.
A Theme day does not need to be elaborate or jam packed with activities to be memorable. I had some other ideas planned but we ran out of time. That's okay! I'm sure there will be other days we may need some Scooby Doo activities. Its still a favorite!
Here are some links to items we used during our theme day.
